Wedding Update

5 Days Away!

We're getting close, WooHoo!! For the exact countdown go to http://wedding.basallo.com!

Here are a few tidbits of information to make your boarding experience as smooth as possible. Please read all the bullet points because our menu has recently changed:

Ceremony & Reception

  • You will be getting an official boarding pass by Thursday to be able to board via email. Keep a lookout for that email.
  • If you do not have your boarding pass by Thursday morning, call us. DO NOT FORGET.
  • The wedding is on the ship: Carnival Conquest.
  • The ship is at the Port of Miami, at the Carnival terminal, currently showing as F. Once you get to the Port of Miami, you should be able to follow the signs to the Carnival Conquest.
  • You can park at the terminal - more info here.
  • You should be at the port by 10:00AM. Give yourself time to park. Use a Mapping app to estimate your time. You have to go through customs and security and all that good stuff. The coordinators will take the entire group into the ship at the same time and we have priority. If you are late you will have to fend for yourself, get no help and maybe ruin the wedding. Don't be late.
  • Be there at 10:00AM also known as 10:00
  • You will be allowed to walk around the ship once you board and before the ceremony.
  • The reception will be after the ceremony (as is usually the case) at Henry's Dance Club.
  • The reception will wrap up somewhere around 2:30PM to give those that are not sailing time to disembark the ship and ensure you don't get stuck like a stowaway.

Sailing Information

  • You can take a carry-on or check-in your luggage.
  • You should take a carry-on if you want to change clothes after ceremony. Your checked-in luggage should be in your stateroom when the reception is over, but might not be. (I should be taller, but I'm not.
  • You might be able to drop off your carry-on bags at your stateroom, even if it's not ready. You should not leave your valuables (diamonds, gold and gambling cash) if your room is not ready because the door may stay open and unattended. This is up to the staff.
  • There will be plenty of space at the venues for your carry-ons if you can't or don't want to leave it in the room.
  • You can check-in already! You can upload your documents provide your info, buy packages , etc.
  • Most packages (like the Cheers! - AKA GET ME DRUNK - package) are cheaper if purchased before the cruise date.

We've been asked a few times about gifts, registries and the like. We have information about that under Registry on the website. Of course, you can do anything else you want or nothing at all. we're just happy that you're joining us.
